Seagulls are terrorising the town of Conwy in North Wales

Fed up seaside residents have hired a killer Harris hawk to protect them from seagulls .

People in Conwy, North Wales have formed an aptly-named action committee - Conwy Residents’ Action Party (CRAP) - to turn the tide against rogue seagulls.

They have called in Kevin Bunn and his ‘Lord of the Wings’ birds of prey after being subjected to the “worst year ever” from the feathered divebombers.

This week Jack the Harris Hawk began sentry duty and had an immediate effect sending the seagulls fleeing for safety.

Spokeswoman Mags Jones says other Conwy residents and businesses should stump up and help them extend the idea across the town.

She said” “Conwy residents are fed up with the worst ever year for seagulls.

“People have been getting hurt and we can hardly walk up the High Street.

“We are getting Kevin here to keep the birds away. We want more people to pay towards it so the birds of prey can go up the High Street too.

“It’s not the birds’ fault. It’s to do with humans feeding them.”
