Global condom manufacturer Durex has decided to create an aubergine flavour range .
Durex tweeted an image of the box, on which it uses the vegetable's US name, 'Eggplant'.
The new flavour comes in line with the hype around the aubergine emoji, which is commonly used in place of a penis while sexting .
Previously, Durex launched a campaign to promote safe sex – and safe sexting – by lobbying to see a condom emoji introduced.
Some people seem quite keen on the idea. "Juas" means "wow" in Spanish.

But others aren't so sure.

In November last year, a study by Durex found that the majority of 18-25-year-olds are more comfortable using emojis when discussing sex.

Durex is known already for its flavoured condoms. Already on the market are the likes of apple, banana, chocolate, strawberry, and orange.
Other brands also offer tasty treats . Skins has a bubblegum option, ESP sells a marshmallow variety, and Pasante even has a fizzy cola condom.
J&D's, meanwhile, went the whole hog with bacon.

Now, thanks to Durex, we have nearly reached the point of being able to have a whole dinner in condom form.
There is no word yet when Durex will be bringing out the new flavour – or whether it's all just an elaborate PR stunt.

We are waiting for a response from the company and are also keen to find out how the aubergine has been cooked.
