Man invents cunning trick to avoid parking tickets - but it's not one to try yourself

Parking tickets are a nuisance - and people are turning to fake plates to avoid them

It's a universal truth that no one likes traffic wardens.

It's nothing personal, but they just seem to have an other-worldly ability to materialise, silently and stealthily when you're pressed for time, money and parking space .

"I just popped in to buy some milk for my elderly neighbour," you wail. But the traffic warden does not care.

So it's fair to say anyone who challenges the 'system' and comes out winning is considered something of a hero.

[N.b. We are NOT encouraging this sort of behaviour. Park legally and responsibly, people.]

So step forward 19-year-old TJ Azodeh.

The student at Houston University has come up with a cunning way of dodging those pesky parking tickets.

Of course, parking correctly is one option. But not for TJ. Instead, he does this.

Yes, that is a decoy ticket placed on his windscreen to deter any actual real tickets.

TJ posted the picture on Twitter, explaining, as the Lad Bible reports, how one of his friends has been doing it ever since he got a ticket "though that person hasn't had a 100 percent success rate."

United by a dislike of parking tickets, thousands of people were quick to praise TJ's pioneering work.

However.

Do you remember when your mate would do something naughty and get away with it, but when you tried it you'd get caught red-handed and punished?

It seems not everyone can replicate TJ's success. Consider yourselves warned.
