Not many of us can ever have been this exhausted - one poor lad was so incredibly tired and emotional recently that he couldn't make it to bed and sought sleep on the roof of a CAR .
The slumbering man, who is believed to have been a university student, appears to have enjoyed a night out before attempting to grab some shuteye.
Married bank worker and musician Ben Jones snapped the funny image one Thursday morning at 8.30am - when the gent still hadn't stirred despite the daylight.
"I was on my way to work when I saw him and I couldn't believe it.
"He was literally outside my flat - it was probably a neighbour's car.
"I just walked out of my front door and saw him, it was absolutely hilarious."
The 33-year-old said he couldn't resist taking a snap of the bizarre spectacle and said he could not possibly understand why the man thought it was a good idea."
Ben says when he spotted the young man on top of a black Renault Clio - not his own - he had no idea how he got to sleep there but guesses alcohol was involved .
"He had obviously got really p ***ed the night before and couldn't be bothered or wasn't able to find somewhere else to sleep.
"He was fast asleep and must have been there all night or since the early hours.
"The way he was lying he had his body on the roof with his head dangling at the back and his feet coming down onto the windscreen.
"I thought it was so funny, so I had to take a picture of him."
The man, believed to be in his late teens or early twenties and wearing black jeans and a grey t-shirt, was spotted on May 19.
Ben, from Southport, Merseyside, said when he returned back to his flat for an early lunch break at about 11am he had vanished.
Ben said: "When I came home on my lunch break he wasn't there any more.
"I'm guessing someone else saw him and woke him up - hopefully for his sake it wasn't the owner of the car.
"I don't know what would possess you to climb on top of a car to go to sleep, I have no idea why anyone would do that.
"Maybe he couldn't find anywhere else to stay - it's definitely one way of saving on hotel fees I guess.
"I have never seen anything like that before and I have definitely never done anything like that myself."
